Our award winning teachers are experienced professionals with music degrees from accredited universities. We have a progressive curriculum and use effective teaching methods that guarantee results. Our teachers will help you to develop the proper and efficient playing techniques as well as other skills necessary to play any style of music that is desired. Our teachers have decades of performing and teaching experience and are able to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles.

Professional Facilities

We have some of the nicest lesson rooms in Central New York. Our studio lesson rooms are clean and spacious and utilize sound isolation and absorption materials to properly diffuse the sound within the room.  In this setting, our students are provided the best listening and learning environment possible.  Our students are better able to concentrate on their playing and are not distracted by noise from the waiting room and/or adjacent lesson rooms.

We use the latest technology which is a benefit to our students. They are better able to increase and improve their ability to reproduce the sound(s) necessary for the music they are studying.  Through the use of digital sampling and amp modeling they are better able replicate the same sound and feel of the music genre of their choice.

Our waiting room is clean comfortable and has many reading and viewing materials as well as Wi Fi to entertain you while you wait. There are many books and magazines as well as additional resources that will keep you up-to-date with concert notices in the community, new and interesting musical facts, and the latest studio news.

Specialized Programs

The Music School of CNY offers a variety of lesson programs to suit your musical interests.  We offer guitar, bass and piano instruction in a wide range of styles.  We are currently in the process developing additional programs that are unique to our studio. We offer the Childbloom Guitar Program, a nationally recognized music education program developed exclusively for elementary aged children.

We have lesson times available in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.  We do our best to provide the option of scheduling sibling lessons within the same time frame to better accommodate your busy family schedule.
